Social media platforms are designed to capture our attention, often at the expense of our wellbeing. Young people are particularly vulnerable. But this isn't inevitable. It's a design choice, and it can be changed.
Â
Your Attention Please follows Kristin Bride, who began campaigning for stronger protections after losing her son Carson, and Trisha Prabhu, a young programmer developing tools to tackle online hate. Their stories reveal the human cost of the attention economy, but also the growing movement demanding something better.
Â
Following the screening, we'll explore addictive algorithms, platform accountability, digital wellbeing and what meaningful change could look like, in the Netherlands and beyond.
Lush and Patagonia believe businesses have a responsibility to question systems that put profit ahead of people's wellbeing. Together, we're bringing this conversation offline to challenge how digital spaces are designed, who they serve and what needs to change.

Directed by Sara Robin and written by Jack LeMay, Your Attention Please (2025, 98 min) investigates how social media and the attention economy are reshaping childhood, mental health and human connection. It follows Kristin Bride, who became a campaigner for legislative reform after her son Carson died following cyberbullying, and Trisha Prabhu, a young programmer building tools to stop online hate. Along the journey we meet the global Offline Club movement and a high school embarking on a phone free experiment. The film premiered at SXSW in March 2026 and argues that the attention crisis is not inevitable: a cultural shift is already under way.
